5 < 15

Steve and Dave ascended the treacherous east face of Mt Sanitas yesterday, in a 90 minute window of sunny weather between rainshowers, and descended via the south trail, with dogs and other animals passing up and down the trail alongside us. (Whatever that means. I dunno, it's pre-caffeine.)

With good weather, the mall was crowded. Even so, our intrepid explorers managed to squirm their way into an undersized table at BJ's Pizza, where they briefly argued with the server about how big 10 inches is, really, and withheld their upwelling junior-high-school snickers until after she left the table (to get a "medium pan deluxe"). Whereupon they decreed henceforth to refer to themselves always in the third person, and each on behalf of the other. E.g., "Excuse me miss, Steve ordered that ranch dressing on the side," and "Yes, Dave would like another beer."

Humpday is weird. Just ask the nice family waiting in line for a table, who stared blankly (perhaps a little frightened) when Steve and Dave explained that the five minute wait for a table was less than fifteen minutes, and hey, ya gotta draw the line somewhere.
